ARN’s iHeartPodcast Network Australia has announced a new podcast, SAS Australia Debrief hosted by 2020 recruits Merrick Watts and Sabrina Frederick.

The podcast is made for anyone that can’t get enough of Aussie celebs putting themselves through the toughest test of their lives on the Seven Network’s hit show SAS Australia. Or anyone that wishes they had some expert tips on how they could develop more mental resilience in their everyday life.

Two episodes will drop each week for the duration of the new season of SAS Australia, now screening on Channel 7 and 7plus.

Each episode will feature Watts and Frederick recapping the biggest moments from the current SAS series, sharing insights from their own experience, like passing selection on the show last year, and tips to help listeners build mental resilience with weekly challenges that can be done at home.

Watts said: “Being on SAS was one of the most intense experiences of my life. It tested every part of me but also showed me what I was really capable of and the importance of developing resilience in everyday life.

“That’s what we hope listeners will get from this podcast – an understanding of how they can dig deep in tough times in their own life.”

Frederick said: “We all love watching people overcome adversity in extreme situations like we see on SAS, but what a lot of us forget is that there are so many lessons we can take from that and apply in our own lives.

“At work, at home, with our families and friends, or any situation we’re going through.

“We can all build strength and determination to rise to challenges and that’s what the SAS Australia Debrief podcast is all about.”

ARN’s podcast content & partnership director, Stephanie Coombes said: “The launch of the iHeartPodcast Network’s SAS Australia Debrief in partnership with Channel 7 is yet another example of how Australia’s 1 Podcast publisher is leading the audio industry by creating quality connections for our brand partners and audiences.

“So many of us are living with stress and uncertainty and we need to develop resilience more than ever. SAS Australia Debrief meets that need with compelling content that leverages the huge popularity of the SAS Australia TV show and the relatability of last year’s winners Merrick and Sabrina as hosts.

“Partnerships like these deliver compelling audio for our listeners and unique opportunities for brands to connect with audiences in meaningful ways.”
