Havas has reinforced its commitment to supporting the creative passions of its staff with the second instalment of the Group-wide Hava-Listen initiative set.
The aim is to showcase the film work of emerging screenwriter and director Orla Doyle, an Account Executive at Organic Pacific.
Havas Group launched Hava-Listen this year to support team morale and well-being through nurturing creative passions and helping staff take them to the next level.
Orla’s short film series Sirens will feature at a special screening supported by Val Morgan, at Event Cinemas George St, Sydney, on Thursday, 20 October.
The 22-year-old shot the seven 10-minute online drama series in the beautiful, eerie landscapes of the NSW Great Lakes region, beginning production in her final year at the Australian Film Television and Radio School before completing the remaining episodes independently last year.
Hava-Listen is the latest offering introduced by Havas Group to champion well-being and holistic development of skills and passions among staff and the wider industry.
Other programs include Be Together, allowing staff to work flexibly from anywhere in the world for one month during 2022, and Havas Hustle which last year supported several women entrepreneurs in getting business ideas off the ground.
Francis Coady, chief marketing officer of Havas Media Group, said: “We are so excited to launch Hava-Listen session two.
“Hava-listen is all about embracing, profiling, and supporting the incredibly diverse passions and creative talents of our Havas team members. Orla Doyle really is an exceptionally gifted director, and we can’t wait to share her series with the whole company, clients, and partners.”
Orla added, “It is such a privilege to showcase Sirens through the Hava-Listen initiative. For my creative pursuits to be so generously championed by Havas is truly inspiring, and to be able to share my work as a filmmaker with my colleagues is an absolute joy.”
Guy Burbidge, managing director at Val Morgan Cinema, said: “We are delighted to support the Havas team in supporting and showcasing their staff’s passions away from the office. Cinema is the purest form of storytelling so having Orla’s drama series showcased on the big screen is a real privilege to be part of it.”
The second Hava-Listen follows the inaugural event, supported by NOVA Entertainment, that featured a performance by talented singer-songwriter Anna Natlacen and was attended by over 200 guests.
