Australian Olympic hurdler Michelle Jenneke is reportedly the frontrunner to be the bachelorette in this year’s series of Ten’s dating program.
B&T has contacted Network Ten for comment on the rumour, however, had not received a reply by publication.
Jenneke, of course, is arguably more famous for her pre-race jiggling routine than winning too much out on the track, but there’s no doubting the 24-year-old has the looks and the media experience to take on the role that often comes with household fame but rarely true love.
Admittedly, the latest rumours do come from this week’s New Idea magazine who aren’t overly-confident of its tip saying Jenneke is a frontrunner for the show alongside Married At First Sight’s Davina Rankin and plus-sized bikini model, Kate Wasley.
New Idea appear to have again got its information from an “unnamed source” who told the gossip magazine: ‘The producers want to sign her. She really is the sort of person they are looking for.
“The only issue they see is the fact that Michelle may not even want to be the Bachelorette. That kind of public scrutiny is not for everyone but they are keen to give it their best shot.”
Not that Jenneke has had a great run out on the hurdling track in recent times. At the 2016 Rio Games she was bundled out in her first heat, while she did manage an admirable fourth spot at the recent Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.
