The Spikes Asia Awards are Asia Pacific’s top award for excellence in creative comms and marketing effectiveness. But how can you win one?
Fortunately, you’re in luck. Spikes’ awards expert, Rebecca Peacock, is holding a session tomorrow to give you everything you need to know in order to give your entry the best chance of winning a Spikes Asia Award.
However, it won’t be easy. Spikes entries undergo the same stringent criteria as the Cannes Lions awards, meaning that your team will need to be on top form to be in with a chance. Plus, the judges come from all over Asia Pacific and from all over the creative landscape.
Sign up to the ‘How To Win A Spike’ 2023 Awards live briefing taking place 24 November at 3 pm SGT/ 12 pm AEDT .
In the briefing, attendees will learn how to choose the right categories for their work, the materials they need, and advice on how to make their Spike entry stand out from the crowd and make the magic in their idea as clear as possible for the jury.
But that’s not all. As well as giving you the tips on best practice for entering the awards, Peacock will take you through the data behind the awards. Rather than simply adorning the mantlepiece in the boardroom, a Spike award can help boost your business’ prospects significantly.
Why? Exclusivity. From more than 3,000 entries in 2022, just 271 trophies were awarded — or 8.9 per cent. This represents a huge chance for your work to be celebrated and highlighted in the industry.
But the Spikes awards are not standing still. There are a range of new awards on offer compared to last year which might be the perfect fit for your brand.
However, you’ll need to move fast. The absolute deadline for entries is 19 January next year while the first late fees apply from 8 December this year. And, with awards this important on offer, you’ll kick yourself for sitting on your hands.
Entries shortlisted for in the Innovation category will be announced on 16 February, while the shortlisted entries for all other awards will be announced between 28 February and 2 March next year.
The winners, most importantly, will be revealed on 2 March.
