Keeva Stratton, brand strategist and founder of Quip has released a brand new podcast titled Culture Snap. The podcast dives deep into the ever-changing world of culture by talking with the people who shape, challenge, and inspire it.
Hosted by Stratton, Culture Snap is a platform for open and insightful conversations with those who influence and redefine culture.
“In our industry, we live and breathe culture—we explore it, analyse it, and, if we’re doing our jobs right, we try to capitalise on it,” Stratton told B&T. “But I often ask myself: do we really take enough time to understand it?
“I’ve always been obsessed with cultural phenomena and the quirks of human behaviour (this probably explains my Criminology masters, over an MBA). Culture Snap was born from a desire to share rich and expansive conversations with people who are using their creativity and talent to do fascinating work—who don’t just accept the status quo but often ignore it entirely.”
In each episode, Stratton sits down with industry and thought leaders, artists, sportspeople, writers, comedians and innovators who are shaping the cultural zeitgeist. Together, they will explore their stories, and their journey, as they delve into how they and their work evolves with shifts in culture. From reflecting on pivotal moments to reimagining the future, the podcast tackles tough questions with intelligence and insight.
“Whether they’re a rockstar building apps to enhance early childhood learning, a leadership expert who wants to understand how our ancestry impacts performance, a physical AI specialist who champions human-first design, the women changing gender representation in our most male dominated sports, or the artists, musicians and writers who are gleefully poking the bear—I wanted to talk to them.
“I don’t think many people in our industry truly appreciate how impactful their work can be when it comes to resetting cultural norms and shifting the zeitgeist. For instance, when you naturalise inclusive casting or media representation, you literally reimagine the concept of Australian identity; language is still the most powerful ideological tool, and no ad exists without it,” added Stratton.

“I have spent most of my career in brand, but am far more interested these days in design as strategy and driving audience resonance, hence, I wanted to create a platform where we could explore deeper ideas at the intersection of technology (specifically AI), sociology, sport, and leadership.
“Much of culture remains invisible. Likewise, I find a lot of the work that really interests me (including my favourite consulting projects), typically sits behind NDA’s. This to me is an opportunity to showcase some of the extraordinary people I’ve had the privilege of working with, so others can gain from their unique insights.
“I didn’t have a grand plan for it—honestly, I figured if my mum was the only one who tuned in, it wouldn’t really matter—and as it turns out, she hasn’t quite figured out the tech so she’s yet to listen, but others have, and the feedback has been incredibly positive, so I’m glad,” concluded Keeva.
