The Women Leading Tech Awards, presented by Atlassian, is back for 2026! We’ve revitalised our awards categories to reflect our evolving industry. Here, we take a closer look at some of these categories to help you on your Awards journey.
Set the future in motion and enter The Women Leading Tech Awards Now!
It doesn’t always feel natural promoting yourself, so we’ve made it uber-easy to enter our awards with distinct categories and criteria.
This year, the awards are separated into three distinct groups: Job Role (16 awards), Industry (eight awards), and Changemaker (eight awards).
New for this year is the Employer category, which celebrates a company, rather than an individual, that is taking meaningful action to ensure gender equality.
This category comes at a critical time. Many companies have turned away from their DE&I commitments, and high-profile organisations have been embroiled in legal battles about harassment allegations.
The employer category has different criteria to the other awards in the Industry section; submission points one and two—which provide overarching points for entrants to cover—are specific to this category.

The Women Leading Tech Awards isn’t just for the coders and engineers; it celebrates a broad range of functions within business, tech sectors and external support services that cater to the tech industry.
The awards programme has categories including Business Support, Customer Success, Sales, Marketing, Mentor, People & Culture, Recruiter, Public Relations and more.
For example, the Business Support recognises women making the day-to-day management of their company look like a breeze. This category is open to women with roles including, but not limited to: executive assistants, personal assistants, office managers and business support coordinators.
Customer Success is for the women who have contributed to the success of their clients’ and customers’ businesses (regardless of sector). This one’s for the women who deliver exceptional customer satisfaction, build strong client relationships, and drive business growth through their innovative approach. It’s open to customer success manager, customer support specialist, account manager, technical account manager, customer experience manager, customer success, customer relationship manager and client services.
