Domino’s has appointed former Yum! executive Dewald du Plooy as its chief marketing officer for Australia and New Zealand.

du Plooy will commence in the role on April 27, joining from OTR Group. He brings decades of global retail and marketing experience, having previously held roles with Yum! Restaurants International and Procter & Gamble, where he built a track record in brand growth and customer-centric strategy.

Domino’s ANZ chief executive officer Merrill Pereyra said the appointment is part of a broader push to reset the business and strengthen its market position.

“We are committed to delivering consistency, convenience and creating a stronger connection with our customers, while improving returns for our franchise partners. Dewald’s appointment is a key step in consolidating a disciplined, customer-focused marketing approach to sustainable growth,” Pereyra said.

du Plooy said he was eager to build on Domino’s established presence across the region.

“I’m incredibly excited to step into this role at Domino’s. It is a strong global brand with a leading market position in the region, built on innovation and customer focus,” he said.

The appointment comes as Domino’s continues to refine its strategy across Australia and New Zealand, with a renewed emphasis on customer experience and long-term franchise performance.
