David Jones has announced Gap as the latest brand to join its stable of contemporary designers. Operated in Australia by the OrotonGroup with six stores across NSW and VIC, Gap will now be available online at www.davidjones.com.au, broadening the department store’s current e-commerce offering of women, men, active, and kid’s apparel for customers across the country.

An iconic brand based on casual American style, Gap’s range at David Jones online will include foundational pieces for the modern wardrobe and everyday essentials in denim, khaki, knits and active wear, in both classic and on trend variations.

David Jones group executive merchandise, David Collins commented, “David Jones is thrilled to offer Gap to our customers online. As one of the worlds most recognised and respected apparel labels, Gap will be an exciting addition of contemporary brands and no doubt continue to flourish in Australia as part of David Jones’ exclusive designer family.

“David Jones is continuously working on new product lines so that we can deliver the best offering across all categories to our consumers. Our merchandising team works tirelessly to curate and edit our product assortment to ensure we are offering the best of both Australian and international fashion brands across all of our stores and this is part of the overall David Jones experience,” Collins concluded.

Mark Newman, CEO and Managing Director of OrotonGroup commented, “We are very pleased to be launching Gap on David Jones online as this will give customers across the country the opportunity to shop Gap’s casual American style wherever and whenever they like.  Gap has continued to grow in Australia since its launch five years ago and we are thrilled about the current expansion onto DavidJones.com.au.”

Gap will be available online as an Australian department store exclusive at davidjones.com.au from this month and include men, women, GapFit, kids and baby.
