Daily Mail’s Attempt To Ruin The Bachelor Finale Leaves Ten & Warner Bros Fuming

Channel Ten has once again been forced to defend itself against claims by a media outlet that it knows who ends up winning the heart of The Bachelor’s Matty J.

According to an article by Daily Mail Australia, contestant Laura Byrne has been snapped disappearing for a secret weekend away with Matty J just weeks before the finale of The Bachelor goes to air.

The gossip media outlet reckons Byrne was whisked away to a secret meeting with Matty J last Friday in the Richmond/Hawkesbury area of outer-Sydney by a Bachelor production car, and was stalked by the paparazzi during her weekend-long trip.

However, despite Daily Mail Australia publishing photos of Byrne and her driver trying to escape the public eye, it failed to provide the killer blow that would certainly spoil the series – a photo of the couple together.

Unsurprisingly, Channel Ten and Warner Bros (the production company behind The Bachelor) were understood to be livid following Daily Mail Australia’s efforts to ruin the season finale, with emergency meetings called at Ten HQ, according to news.com.au.

A Ten spokeswoman told news.com.au that the network hoped viewers would continue to watch the show and not believe everything they read.

This isn’t the first time that Ten has faced spoiler threats for the latest season of The Bachelor, with paps reportedly shopping around packages that included pics of main man Matty J with contestants at the final rose ceremony, along with the names and information on the final two, even before the series went to air.
