Sydney content marketing agency Storyation has announced the appointment of award-winning editor Georgia Rickard (pictured above) as the agency deepens its long-term relationship with Tourism Australia.
A former editor of Australian Traveller, Rickard is credited with turning that title into the country’s fastest-growing travel magazine. She has contributed to prestigious global travel brands including the BBC and Airbnb and is a regular travel expert on SKY News.
Rickard’s appointment adds to Storyation’s significant expertise in the travel sector. Co-founder and head of content Lauren Quaintance is a former GM of Travel for Fairfax Media, and senior editor Deborah Cooke is a former deputy editor of Virgin’s Voyeur magazine.
Lauren Quaintance said Rickard was a gifted editor with “a deep and abiding passion for Australia that is evident in everything she does”.
As senior editor, Rickard will primarily be working on the Tourism Australia account including a new section of Australia.com. Launched this month ‘Australian Insider’ will focus on trending content that drives urgency to travel to Australia and helps visitors better connect with local products and experiences.
Storyation has also announced the appointment of Ruth Kotevich as marketing executive. Kotevich was previously a marketing, communications and promotions specialist for local government as well as an Editorial Planner for Fairfax Media.
Storyation commercial director Mimi Cullen said that with a “unique combination of editorial and marketing expertise”, Kotevich was well positioned to help build both Storyation’s profile in market and growing client base.
