Kyle Sandilands has taken a brutal swipe at The Daily Telegraph while defending Abbie Chatfield.
Sandilands attack was prompted by the fact that Abbie Chatfield spoke to the masthead about Sandilands recent error in using ableist language.
The Daily Telegraph reported that Chatfield said: “I don’t know why he’s not at least being reprimanded.”
Chatfield also expressed that she was confused that advertisers still spend considering the stuff Sandilands has said, “I don’t know why advertisers still align.” she said.
Usually, when someone speaks out against Sandilands, he heads to the airwaves and doesn’t hold back.
However, Sandilands was interestingly on Chatfield’s side but angry at the paper that published her comments.
The Daily Mail reported that he said: “We’ve had her on this show. She’s a nice kid.”
“I feel sorry for Abbie a bit because she’s had sleepless nights since she’s read these articles, and she would have thought, “S**t, I’m not fighting with Kyle. They tricked me.
‘This is a kid who’s already got mental health issues. Why make her life worse? With your own bullsh@t newspaper agenda?’
Sandilands added: “These are the same people at the Telegraph who are ringing up people in a wheelchair and saying, ‘Kyle Sandilands hates handicapped people. What do you think about that?’
“And then they put it in the newspaper as if that’s people’s thoughts. They are lying manipulators. I can’t even believe these people are still employed.”
