For more than a decade, B&T’s 30 Under 30 Awards has propelled the careers of some of the advertising, marketing and media industry’s most promising talent. Some of the industry’s leading founders, directors and luminaries had their first moments in the spotlight at B&T’s 30 Under 30 Awards.
Each week, B&T will take a look back at the journeys of some of our 30 Under 30 winners to find out how they’re still changing the world and why there’s still so much more to come.
Chloe Saintilan is a global creative director, writer, co-founder, and brand consultant based in NYC. In 2017, Saintilan picked up the B&T 30 Under 30 Awards in the Creative category.
“The recognition was crucial – it absolutely opened doors and helped me get overseas. Any recognition you can get on a personal level helps build your case and sets you apart from the rest,” Saintilan told B&T.
Saintilan co-founded Merch Aid in 2020, an organisation that connects designers with not-for-profits to create exclusive merchandise together, with 100 per cent of profits donated. To date, it’s raised over half a million dollars and has been featured in Vogue, GQ, FastCo, and NBC.
She’s spent the past decade creating and leading award-winning creative at both agencies and in-house, with brands including Samsung, Amazon, Mercedes-Benz, Afterpay, Cash App, Airbnb, and HBO. With a portfolio spanning global campaigns, products, and initiatives, Chloe’s work regularly makes headlines – from her e-comm non-profit and a crowd-sourced NYFW runway, to a sold-out NFT collection, a Matchbox car for girls, and a viral font.
“These days, I’m less interested in traditional campaigns and more drawn to the intersection of entertainment, partnerships, and social – ideas that earn attention and engagement. I love work that feels alive in culture and gets people talking,” Saintilan said.
Saintilan advises young people entering Adland not to fear AI. “In New York, I’m surrounded by creatives using it in insanely interesting ways. From a hiring perspective, not being proficient in AI will eventually set you back, so it’s smart to start exploring now”.
