Bridget Hustwaite Departs Triple J & Fuels Rumours She’s Heading For The Project

Triple J’s Bridget Hustwaite has announced she’s leaving the station, and it has ignited rumours she could be heading to 10’s The Project

Hustwaite has been at Triple J for over seven years, hosting a nightly show. She’s also amassed over 60k Instagram followers in that time and is known for being pretty bloody cool.

However, she took to Instagram to announce her departure and wrote, “After seven years at the station and five as your friendly host of Good Nights, I have decided to leave @triple_j.”

While she didn’t announce what she plans to do next, the announcement comes after she’s been spotted on The Project‘s panel multiple times. It’s no secret the show is getting plenty of people to fill the seats to see what dynamic works.

While nothing has been confirmed yet, here are some facts, The Project is looking for talent with Carrie Bickmore, Petter Helliar and Lisa Wilkinson leaving. Sarah Harris has announced she’s joining the panel, but there are still two big holes.

It’s also no secret that Network 10 are always chasing a youth audience and tend to do well in the under-30s demographics.

So, it would make sense the next hire might be someone younger and edgier. Only time will tell!
