The Foxtel Group has revealed its bold vision for 2025, promising to elevate the viewing experience across its platforms—Kayo Sports, Foxtel, Foxtel Now, Foxtel Go, and BINGE. From a new era in Australian sports broadcasting to a diverse line-up of local and international entertainment, Foxtel is set to deliver an unmatched range of premium content to its customers.
At the heart of Foxtel’s 2025 offering is a landmark AFL rights deal, which will revolutionise how Aussie Rules football is broadcast. Starting in 2025, Fox Footy will exclusively stream every match of the AFL season live, ad-break-free during play, and in stunning 4K quality. The first eight rounds will be available nationally, with the first 15 rounds exclusive to Victoria. The coverage will include expert analysis from a line-up of AFL greats, including Jason Dunstall, Jonathan Brown, and Garry Lyon, ensuring fans receive the best insights in the game.
The introduction of “Super Saturday Live” on Kayo Sports and Foxtel will make AFL viewing more immersive, while Fox Footy’s cutting-edge graphics and tech innovations will enhance every moment of the game.
The NRL is also set to have a blockbuster 2025, beginning with the Rugby League Las Vegas Festival. The event will feature two NRL matches, a Super League clash, and an international showdown, broadcast live from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
Cricket fans are in for a treat, with a full year of Ashes action. It kicks off with the Women’s Ashes series in early 2025, followed by the Men’s Test Series against England in November. Meanwhile, Foxtel Group will continue its comprehensive coverage of the Suncorp Super Netball Season, Formula 1, Supercars, MotoGP, UFC, NFL, and more.
Rebecca McCloy, executive director, commercial sport, highlighted Foxtel’s ongoing commitment to Australian sport. “In 2025, we’re raising the bar with more expert analysis, more games in 4K, and innovations that bring fans closer to the action, ensuring greater value for your Foxtel and Kayo Sports subscriptions.”
Premium Entertainment Line-up
Foxtel’s 2025 entertainment slate is just as exciting, with a focus on Australian Originals and top-tier international series. Leading the charge is the highly anticipated BINGE Original film How to Make Gravy, produced by Warner Bros. International Production Australia. Local dramas include The Last Anniversary, based on Liane Moriarty’s novel, and Mixtape, starring Teresa Palmer and Jim Sturgess in a heartwarming story of first love.
Returning favourites include The Twelve, featuring Sam Neill, and Strife, starring Asher Keddie. New unscripted series like Billion Dollar Playground, which delves into the extravagant lives of the ultra-rich, and the third season of Real Housewives of Sydney, will also feature prominently in 2025. Popular lifestyle programs Selling Houses Australia and The Great Australian Bake Off will make their return too.
Internationally, Foxtel will be the exclusive Australian home for major new releases like Day of the Jackal starring Eddie Redmayne, Lockerbie: A Search for Truth featuring Colin Firth, and All Her Fault, starring Sarah Snook. Other highly anticipated titles include Dune: Prophecy, the third season of The White Lotus, and the second season of Ted.
BINGE Enters the Sports Arena
BINGE is expanding its content library to include live and on-demand sport, thanks to a partnership with Kayo Sports. From December 2024, BINGE will broadcast major sporting events such as the AFLW Grand Final and WBBL Grand Final, with more sports coverage arriving in 2025. This will include simulcasts of NRL and AFL matches, alongside other sports like surfing, women’s golf, and motorsports.
BINGE will also introduce live news channels, including Sky News, Fox Sports News, and CNBC, adding thousands of hours of lifestyle content to its already extensive library. Julian Ogrin, CEO of BINGE and Kayo Sports, stated, “We’re changing the streaming game, bringing the best of Kayo Sports live and on demand to BINGE subscribers. We’re delivering more variety and value for just $10 a month.”
Since its launch in 2020, BINGE has established itself as a go-to platform for entertainment lovers, and its expanded offering promises to take the platform to new heights in 2025.
