Linh Diep.

Australian-born mentorship program Assisterhood has expanded into the UK, launching its first London chapter with 10 founding mentors and plans to pair them with emerging industry talent.

Founded in Brisbane, in 2018 by Linh Diep, Assisterhood has grown into a mentorship program for underrepresented talent, connecting emerging professionals with senior leaders across advertising, marketing, media, creative, strategy, design and technology.

The inaugural London mentor lineup features senior talent from some of the industry’s biggest names, including LIONS, Dr. Martens, Cadbury and WPP.

In 2026, the program welcomed a record 98 mentorship partnerships from more than 420 applications globally, demonstrating a growing appetite for meaningful industry mentorship. According to Assisterhood’s alumni surveys, 62 per cent of mentees secured a promotion or new role within 12 months of participating, while 85 per cent reported gaining new skills and experience.

For Diep, who is now based in London and works as a business director at Droga5 London, the launch represented an opportunity to bring the community and connections built in Australia to another of the world’s leading creative markets.

“When we started Assisterhood in 2018, it was five mentors and five mentees who believed that access to the right people could change someone’s career. Nine years later, we’re taking that same belief to London. To now bring that spirit to another market is something I’m incredibly proud of. Different city, same mission. Making sure talent and potential aren’t limited,” said Diep.

Bringing a little Aussie ingenuity to London, Assisterhood’s first UK chapter is being brought to life by an all-Australian expat team, including Linh Diep, Polina Shilenina, Jess Roberts, Alice Heraud, and Elliott Holohan.

Assisterhood London officially launched on 29 October 2026.

Assisterhood has encouraged its Australian community to spread the word. Those interested in becoming mentors for future London programs can also register their interest via the website.
