Are Media has launched its inaugural “#MagazineLover” campaign via The Projects.

Featuring high profile ambassadors encouraging people to get off their screens and indulgently escape with their favourite magazine this summer.

The idea is to get people off their phones and. get their noses into a good magazine.

Eight magazine enthusiasts from the worlds of lifestyle, fashion, homes and food, including Kerri Anne Kennerley, Ada Nicodemou, Marion Grasby, Poh Ling Yeow and Martha Kalifatidis, will share how magazines provide them with much-needed inspiration, joy and relaxation.

Running across summer, the campaign created by Are Media and delivered by the projects will highlight eight leading Are Media brands such as The Australian Women’s Weekly, belle, House & Garden and marie claire, and raise awareness of the entire magazine category.

Louise Cankett, marketing director at Are Media, said: “This is a wonderful opportunity to engage new audiences and remind existing readers of the indulgent escape that magazines offer.

“As most of us gear up for some much needed time off after another challenging year, there is no better time to engage and relax with the quality storytelling and inspiration which our broad portfolio of brands provide.”

Carrie Barker, director of the projects, said: “Having spent most of my career in the magazine industry I am a true #MagazineLover, so this is a perfect campaign for the projects.

“Magazines are such a personal medium, so using influencers as the creatives sharing what is authentic to them will be very natural and inspirational.”
