The arrest was of course compounded by the fact this is not the first time O’Keefe has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a woman.
9news reported that in 2021 he was accused of kicking and spitting on his then partner but a court ultimately dismissed the charges on mental health grounds.
SMH also reported that he allegedly attacked his ex-partner because she accused him of carrying an ice pipe in his pocket to a party, he denied these allegations.
Sydney Morning Herald, then reported that O’Keefe has now been charged with six offences, including intentional choking and common assault.
O’Keefe was then denied bail and is now clearly trying to get released.
The O’Keefe saga is nothing short of depressing. O’Keefe spent the bulk of his career at Seven hosting game shows like, The Price Is Right and The Chase and appearing on Seven’s weekend morning show. He was also a White Ribbon ambassador.
