Alex Lawson Promoted To General Manager Of Carat NZ

Alex Lawson has been named general manager of Carat NZ after joining the business in July as group business director.

CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network New Zealand Robert Harvey said, “After an extensive recruitment process to identify the right candidate for the General Manager position, we quickly realised that the best person for the role was already sitting within the business.

“Alex has made an immediate impact since joining us a couple of months ago so it was really easy to make the call to promote him into the GM position.

“Alex shares my ambition for Carat and has a real desire to grow and evolve the business to lead the market today and for the future, so I am really excited to be working alongside him.”

Speaking of his appointment, Lawson said, “Since joining Carat I’ve been consistently impressed by the quality of its offering and that of the Dentsu Aegis Network. The quality of the team that we have locally combined with the suite of tools and resources afforded by the network gives us an unparalleled value offering to clients.” “I’m excited to be part of the collective journey we’re taking and privileged to have the opportunity to lead such a talented team.”

An announcement will be made on Alex’s replacement as group business director shortly.

He joined Carat in July with more than 15 years experience in media and advertising, having held roles with ZenithOptimedia, APN News & Media, Mediaedge in NZ and MediaCom London.

Lawson’s promotion is effective immediately.
