Alan Jones is back, and his new digital show will be live four nights a week starting next week.
The Parrot has returned and while it’s no secret Jones has had a few issues relaunching his own show after leaving Sky and 2GB this latest move proves he hasn’t been deterred!
Who could forget in December at the debut of his new show Alan Jones Direct To People? Jones declared he couldn’t be “silenced” but, ironically, was subsequently silenced by technical difficulties.
However, even with technical difficulties, Jones is happy with the show’s performance. The Sydney Morning Herald reported that Jones has said that his first seven shows reached over six million Australians. However, he did not share any evidence to support this claim.
It’s a pretty big claim; currently, the first video only shows that it had had 17,000 viewers and the last 19,000.
Still, details aside, the conservative is back and just in time for the election. He even has his own studio in Chippendale.
SMH has reported that One Nation leader Pauline Hanson and treasurer Josh Frydenberg are lined up as guests for the first week. So he is back with a bang!
The show will air from Monday to Thursday at 8 pm and if you are desperate for more details. Head on over to Jones’ Facebook page.
Jones told SMH, “There’s a very significant concern among viewers and listeners that the woke culture has overtaken public discourse.
“There’s a massive ‘offence industry’ out there. [But] offence is sadly part of sensible liberal discourse, so long as it doesn’t breach certain boundaries.”
He also shared that he found this particular political campaign “A campaign virtually of nothing.”
Clearly, as always, Jones has plenty to say. The question is, do people want to hear it?
