Airbnb has handed Ogilvy PR its consumer and corporate PR account following a competitive review, B&T can reveal.
Airbnb’s local comms was previously handled by Publicis Groupe’s Herd MSL, which won the account from Thrive PR in 2024 (who chose not to re-pitch).
An Ogilvy spokesperson confirmed the pitch win.
“Ogilvy PR’s strength of team and capability across earned creative thinking, coupled with reputation management and regulatory understanding were important factors in this choice. Work begins immediately,” the spokesperson said.
Ogilvy’s appointment follows the exit of Airbnb’s ANZ communications lead Sophie Onikul.
APAC marketing lead Meble Tin also left the business last August to take up a role at Visa.
Airbnb declined to comment about the review.
