Independent Australian agency, Affinity has held its own against the world’s best in the prestigious WARC Effective 100, being named the second most effective Digital/Specialist agency in the world, and first across APAC.
The recognition follows several wins in 2020 at global and local effectiveness awards across a range of clients, including Effies, New York Festivals AME Awards and the ANA International ECHO Awards.
Affinity also won the Tim Broadbent Prize for Most Effective International Campaign for Tourism Central Coast at the The London-based IPA Effectiveness Awards.
Affinity’s Central Coast campaign was also ranked the seventh most effective in the WARC Effective 100 Top Campaigns, the highest global ranking from an independent agency.
This is Affinity’s fourth year on the WARC Effective 100 since 2017, and the agency’s highest accolade yet.
Affinity was also recognised as Australia’s best full-service agency in the Media and Marketing category at the 2021 AFR BOSS Best Places to Work awards.
“Ranking number two in the world for effectiveness is an enormous validation of our business model,” said Affinity CEO, Luke Brown (main photo).
“It really shows our ‘outcomes’ promise is more than just a sales pitch. In today’s world it’s never been more important to be accountable and deliver growth.
“It should also be acknowledged that this has been a great year for Australian agencies – it’s genuinely gratifying to see we’re a nation that can lead the way in proving great thinking can deliver business results.”
The WARC Effective 100 is an annual ranking of the world’s most awarded campaigns and companies for effectiveness.
It compiles the results of award shows from the year prior by tracking various global advertising competitions, with all of them requiring entrants to demonstrate their campaign’s impact.
Campaigns and the agencies behind them are awarded points based on the prizes they win in those competitions.
