Accenture Song’s media division has notched another big name, appointing Nick Thomas as its principal director, commercial investment and operations.
Accenture Song said Thomas will bolster its media leadership team led by Melissa Fein, Sam Geer, and Chris Colter, as it “accelerates its mission to reinvent media” across Australia and New Zealand.
In this newly created role, Thomas will spearhead Accenture Song’s media investment strategy and commercial operations, ensuring clients benefit from market-leading value and performance. He will oversee all media trading, media operations and the evolution of the agency’s media technology infrastructure in ANZ, with a focus on driving innovation, efficiency, and scalability across the business.
“Nick is a powerhouse in the Australian media industry – a leader with the strategic vision, commercial acumen, and ability to energise teams, which will be pivotal as we accelerate the growth of Accenture Song’s media capabilities,” said Fein, managing director, media, Accenture Song APAC.
“A passionate advocate for the intersection of data, technology, and creativity, his expertise in investment, commercial strategy, and technology transformation will be a huge asset to our clients and our people.”
“Accenture Song’s media services team is redefining what this capability looks like in the age of AI. I’m excited to join a team with such bold ambition, exceptional talent, and a clear mission to create transformative outcomes for clients,” Thomas said.
His career spans media trading, planning, buying, and commercial leadership, with a proven track record of helping some of the world’s biggest brands – across banking, automotive, government, pharma, QSR, FMCG, and entertainment – to solve complex challenges, scale impact, and deliver measurable growth.
Thomas had been Amazon’s national head of sales ANZ, where he linked up with his former MediaCom boss Willie Pang, who serves as Amazon Ads’ country manager.
