‘A Strong Fit’: Furniture Brand Cozey Launches In Australia Via Agent99

Cozey has officially launched in Australia.

Sydney PR agency, Agent99, has been selected to launch Canadian furniture brand, Cozey, into the Australian market, after a competitive pitch, B&T can reveal.

The agency will help launch Cozey into their first ever market outside North America, and will drive earned media, creator partnerships and experiential activity to introduce the modular, design-led brand to the local market.

“International brands entering Australia need more than just a launch moment,” Sharon Zeev Poole, founder and director at Agent99 told B&T.

“They need cultural understanding and relevance from day one. Cozey already has strong product that’s market fit, so our role is to translate that into earned impact and meaningful local connection. We had a clear view on how to bring that to life from day one, and it’s been great to partner with a team equally aligned on the opportunity ahead.”

Poole added the campaign is designed “to connect the brand with evolving consumer behaviours and tastes in the Australian market”.

“The way Australians live is changing, and that’s creating new expectations around how homes function,” she said. “Our role is to introduce Cozey in a way that feels relevant to those shifts and to build awareness through experience-led storytelling.”

Founded in Montreal in 2020, Cozey has scaled rapidly, achieving triple-digit global growth and establishing a retail footprint across Canada and the United States.

The appointment adds to Agent99’s portfolio of international lifestyle clients, including California Wines, the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States, L’Antica Pizzeria Da Michele and Ledlenser, and cements the agency’s reputation as a go-to partner for international lifestyle brands seeking a meaningful foothold in Australia.

The launch taps into shifting living patterns in Australia, with consumers renting for longer and moving more frequently, increasing demand for flexible, adaptable home solutions. Cozey’s modular offering is positioned to meet this need, with products designed for reconfiguration and longevity.

As part of the rollout, Agent99 will deliver an experiential house take over activation, the ‘Australian Home of Cozey’, in May. The exclusive event will see media and content creators invited to a fully styled residential space to experience the brand firsthand, forming the centrepiece of the campaign’s earned and social strategy.

Cozey Founder and CEO Frédéric Aubé added Australia represents a natural next step for the business.

“Australia is a design-conscious, quality-driven market, making it a strong fit for Cozey as we expand internationally,” he said. “This launch is an important milestone as we continue to grow the brand globally.”
