Seven set after improved tennis results

Seven’s tennis coverage reached a dazzling high on Sunday with more than two million people tuning in to watch the final showdown between Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic, up 4% on 2012.

An average 2.18m tuned into the presentation according to the OzTam preliminary report, although final figures have not been correlated because of the flooding affecting Queensland.

MasterChef The Professionals for Ten rated 718,000, tenth overall, up against the tennis at 7.30pm.

Saturday’s women’s final got 1.538m for the presentation, with 1.288 watching the match on average, dominating Australia’s 20/Twenty match with Sri Lanka on Nine, which got 870,000 in sixth spot.

Ratings from Monday night’s viewing and the much-hyped launch of My Kitchen Rules have been delayed because of issues caused by the flooding.
