Are You 30 Under 30’s Entrepreneur Of The Year?

So our 30 under 30 awards are well underway, and by god a lot of you have started entries already! So we’re launching a comprehensive look into all the categories for 2017, given we’ve added a bunch of brand new ones and given the overall list a good shake-up.

This year, we’ve unveiled 10 categories in total. We’ve also dropped ‘Digital’ because we’re all digital nowadays, as well as the ‘Media’ category, and changed ‘Media Agency’ to ‘Media Planner/Buyer’ because it’s more specific.

Here they are:

  1. Entrepreneur
  2. Creative
  3. Journalist/Producer
  4. Marketing
  5. Media Planner/Buyer
  6. PR
  7. Project Manager
  8. Sales/Account Manager
  9. Strategy
  10. Tech

But today it’s all about the ‘Entrepreneur‘ category, because what does that even mean? And could this be YOUR category? Well read on to find out!

The ‘Entrepreneur’ category champions the corporate escapees who have taken the plunge and followed
their passions, taking on the role of CEO, CFO, sales manager, strategist, accountant and everything in between.

They’ve sprouted their ventures from the ground up, and are paving a new path in our illustrious industry, with skills of innovation, amibition, confidence and passion. No inside-the-box thinkers here!

Some of the example job roles of an Entrepreneur nominee include – but are not limited to – founder, CEO, owner, partner, and managing director.

Your entry will require you to submit a document of 1200 words or less that covers the following:

  • Outline your career path and any key achievements to date.
  • What makes you a future leader in your chosen field?
  • What represents success to you?
  • What do you think needs to be improved in your industry and why?
  • Describe your attributes in no more than five words.

So what are you waiting for? Download the Criteria Document, kick off your entries, and start snagging those tickets, because our fab awards are not one to be scoffed at.

Entries close on March 6, or March 13 if you’re a lazy bugger (or overworked entrpreneur) and need to stretch the deadline slightly. But late entries will stack on an extra $50 so get cracking.

The awards will be held on Thursday April 27 at the ivy ballroom, and don’t forget – no 30 year old entries, we’re all about the youngins’.

Big shout out to our gorgeous sponsors who help make this event happen.
