With a number of newly introduced broad industry categories, three outstanding individuals will be recognized for their achievements in each of the 10 categories, as well as a Grand Prix Award for the most influential individual overall. All entrants will also be a part of the People’s Choice poll, to be opened after entries are closed.

This year, the Awards will be held on Thursday 27th April 2017 at the ivy in Sydney.

Some may already be in positions of leadership, while others may be starting out, but these awards champion those people that go above and beyond the call of duty in the daily working lives, and demonstrate excellence and a vital contribution to their current employer and their determination and desire to progress their careers.

Categories descriptions

1. Creative

For those who transcend traditional ideas, rules and relationships to achieve imaginative, progressive and original. Example roles

2. Entrepreneur 

Championing the corporate escapees who have taken the plunge and followed their passions, taking on the role of CEO, CFO, sales manager, strategist, accountant and everything in between. Example roles

3. Journalist/Producer

More than just news breakers, they are story tellers, connecting with audiences across all platforms and devices. Example roles

4. Marketing

Multi-channel; above, below and through the line – these brand champions are connecting with customers on all levels. Example roles

5. Media Planner/Buyer

No longer just planners and buyers, these young guns are putting the message back into the medium. Example roles

6. PR

Brand ambassadors and their reputation promoters, redefining what it means to manage a message. Example roles

7. Project Manager

The planners and coordinators who create a consistent pulse to guide every project towards on-time and on-budget delivery. Example roles

8. Sales/Account Manager

More than just bringing in revenue, these individuals are client relationship management experts, product champions and the frontline for any business. Example roles

9. Strategy

For the thinkers, goal setters and solution creators who put forward plans to move their organisation onto a better path. Example roles

10. Tech

The coders and number crunchers who weaves all the tech under the hood. Example roles

Entry Criteria

In 1200 words or less:

  • Outline your career path and any key achievements to date.
  • What makes you a future leader in your chosen field?
  • What represents success to you?
  • What do you think needs to be improved in your industry and why?
  • Describe your attributes in no more than five words.

 

  1. The on-time deadline for entries is Monday 6th March 2017 (5pm AEST). Late entries are accepted until Monday 13th March 2017 (5pm AEST).
  1. The cost of each on-time entry is $149 (ex GST). Late entries are $199 (ex GST) each.
  1. To be eligible to enter you must be under the age of 30 years of age as of midnight on 27th April 2017.
  1. You are eligible to enter if you have already appeared in a previous B&T 30 Under 30 list, as long as you meet age criteria above.
  1. Entrants need to provide one written reference from your current employer, a client or service provider; a scanned copy of a photo ID; as well as a high res photo of themselves in order to submit entry. All information supplied, excluding that of your ID, may be published in B&T.
  1. Entries for pairs or teams are not accepted. Each individual must create a separate entry.
  1. Both third party nominations and self-nominations are accepted.
  1. Where you feel your current occupation spans across more than one of the 10 categories, select the category you believe best fits the industry you work in.
  1. There will be three winners named in each of the 10 categories, as well as a Grand Prix Award for the most influential overall. A People’s Choice round will be conducted separately to include all entrants.
  1. B&T reserves the right to move entries into other categories.
  1. All sections of the entry must be completed in order to be judged. Incomplete entries will be disqualified.
  1. Finalists announced 3rd April. Early Bird tickets to the awards are available until 7th April. Awards are held on Thursday 27th April at the ivy Sydney.
