Dutch distillery De Kuyper have revealed William Grant & Sons as their newest distribution partner in Australia, with interesting new career options available within several of the Australian company’s partnerships.
From July 1st, De Kuyper’s cocktail liqueur portfolio will be handled William Grant & Sons Australia, working on a seamless transition alongside previous partners Bacardi-Martini. This comes after a successful partnership with the UK branch of William Grant & Sons.
“We are convinced that William Grant & Sons is the perfect partner to pursue our vision to ‘Own the Cocktail’ in the important Australian market. We are looking forward to accelerating the growth of our premium brands together with this outstanding premium spirits house,” said Mark de Witte, CEO of De Kuyper.
“I also want to take the opportunity to thank Bacardi-Martini Australia for a long and very successful partnership, which has spanned almost 25 years. We highly value their prosperous efforts to build our portfolio over this long period of time.”
Colin Rochester, MD William Grant & Sons ANZ states: “De Kuyper’s premium portfolio is a fantastic addition to our existing business and brands. We are very proud of our brand building capability and looking forward to helping De Kuyper to further premiumise their spirits brand and cocktail offerings in Australia. Jointly we can focus more on owning the cocktail.”
This acquisition will also open up a new role within William Grant & Sons and provide a new opportunity for a lead to run the process, in addition to increasing the stock of Triple sec Liqueur in Aussie clubs and bars.
Additionally, William Grant & Sons have announced a new role of Hendrick’s Gin Australian Chief Cucumber Officer, AKA brand ambassador, which will be open to Australians to apply for nationally.
The Chief Cucumber Officer must be a little odd, have an absurd love for gin, peculiar pashion for fashion, and a curiosity to join the cue crew. Additionally, the role will be to inspire consumers and trade, especially the bartending community, recruiting them and building the brand image and awareness (equity) whilst networking, inspiring and coaching the sales teams, ensuring increased growth and awareness of the brand in line with WG&S targets.
Those interested in either role can apply directly through WG&S’s recruitment channels.
