The classic tale of 10 “celebrities” fighting for survival in the jungle of South Africa has returned for a third season, with loose cannon Julia Morris and sexy vet Chris Brown once again taking on hosting duties.
Returning to our screens courtesy of Channel Ten last night, the program managed to snag over 1.1 million viewers for the ‘Opening Night’ segment, and 963,000 for the ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ part of the show.
It was no match for the Men’s Final in the tennis, which saw Seven nab well above 2.6 million metro viewers, and a 54.5 per cent share of the metro audience overnight.
As for the celebs heading into the jungle, here they are:
- Lisa Curry, Aussie Olympian;
- Natalie Bassingthwaite, former lead singer for Rogue Traders, ex-Neighbours girl, entertainment personality;
- Dane Swan, retired Collingwood Football Club star;
- Tegan Martin, former Miss Universe Australia;
- Tom Arnold, the Roseanne star and essential US import;
- Nazeem Hussain, comedian and someone who will no doubt clash with…
- Steve Price, The Project’s resident right-leaning loudmouth;
- Ash Pollard, of My Kitchen Rules ‘fame’;
- Casey Donovan, the one-time Australian Idol winner at age 16
- Jay Laga’aia, from STAR WARS and Play School, and;
And now have a geez at the weird shit the show made them do on night one:
