Westfield Signs On As Official Partner Of Netball Australia

Netball Australia has today announced Westfield as its newest official partner in a multi-tier sponsorship covering all levels of the game.

Westfield has joined as an official partner of Netball Australia, an associate partner of Suncorp Super Netball and the Origin Australian Diamonds, as well as a major partner of Woolworths NetSetGO.

The announcement marks an inaugural partnership between the two brands with the 2023 Suncorp Super Netball season underway and tens of thousands of people participating in grassroots netball across the country.

“We are thrilled to welcome Westfield as an official partner of netball at all levels of the game,” Netball Australia CEO Kelly Ryan (right in lead image) said.

“This is a wonderful partnership for netball given Westfield’s well-known reputation in Australia and its focus on family connection.

“We look forward to seeing this relationship thrive this year, with Suncorp Super Netball and Woolworths NetSetGO already underway, and the Origin Australian Diamonds Netball World Cup campaign beginning in July.”

Elliott Rusanow (left in lead image), CEO, Scentre Group, owner and operator of Westfield in Australia and New Zealand said the partnership is about community and connecting with more people and families across Australia:

“We’re excited to partner with Netball Australia in 2023 and put our support behind the netball community in what is a World Cup year,” Rusanow said.

“Our Westfield destinations are located in the heart of communities close to where the majority of the population lives. They’re places that bring people, including families, together.

“Our partnership with Netball Australia supports our strategy to create the places more people choose to visit more often and for longer. We’re looking forward to welcoming players, families, spectators and fans, across all levels of the game, to our centres for unique activations and experiences throughout the year.”

The multi-tier partnership includes reciprocal brand recognition across website and communications, LED signage at Suncorp Super Netball and Origin Australian Diamonds games, and Woolworths NetSetGO co-branded merchandise. Customers will have the opportunity to connect with players through multiple activation moments across select Australian Westfield centres.
