It’s becoming a little repetitive, but The Block has once again handed Nine a Wednesday night TV win, albeit by the slimmest of margins.

Nine took the night with 28.5 per cent of the audience eyeballs with Seven a tantalisingly close second with 27.7 per cent.

A strong showing by The Bachelor ensured Ten took third spot with 20.2 per cent, the ABC had to settle for 16.9 per cent and SBS had to make do with 6.6 per cent.

The Block pulled 980,000 viewers for Nine. The network’s other Wednesday night highlights was its 6pm news with 948,000, ACA with 856,000, Hot Seat with 461,000 and Bite Club 456,000.

Seven had the most watched show of the evening, its 6pm news bulletin pulling 996,000. Home And Away (602,000), The Chase (558,000), Highway Patrol (507,000) and The Front Bar (401,000) the network’s other highlights.

Ten’s best was The Bachelor with 805,000, The Project with 513,000, Pointless had 264,000 and the movie Runaway Bride pulled in 223,000.

The ABC’s night ran thus: 7pm news (709,000), Anh’s Brush With Fame (682,000), The Weekly With Charlie Pickering (619,000), 7.30 (595,000) and Back in Very Small Business (348,000).

As we’ve come to expect, trains did the business for SBS, Great British Railways managing 263,000.
