Yet again, Nine’s The Block dominated TV screens on Wednesday night; however, ABC2’s coverage of the Matildas-Brazil game (won 3-2 by the Aussies) pulled a respectable 155,000 viewers.
The Block was again the most watched show of the night with 1.24 million viewers and handed Nine the night with 31.4 per cent of the audience share. Seven was second with 26.6 per cent, Ten had 18.1 per cent, the ABC 16.2 per cent and SBS 7.6 per cent.
Seven’s 6pm news bulletin bear rival Nine 1.02 million to 957,000. For Seven the rest of its night went Home and Away (664,000), 800 Words (633,000), The Chase (632,000), First Dates (613,000) and Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares USA (213,000).
Over at Nine, its comedy pairing of The Big Bang Theory (735,000) and repeats of Kath & Kim (480,000) was its highlight.
For Ten, Australian Survivor managed 567,000, while Shark Tank can’t seem to buy an audience at the moment, pulling a disappointing 389,000.
ABC’s 7pm news bulletin was its highlight with 726,000 followed by 7:30 (509,000), Catalyst (401,000) and David Attenborough’s Micro Monsters (325,000).
SBS’s best was yet more trains with Great American Railroad Journeys pulling 331,000.
