Gogglebox – that great Thursday night entertainment mammoth – has once again topped the evening’s entertainment ratings with 580,000 viewers.
The episode featured participants reacting to Nine’s touching tribute for TV legend Bert Newton, as well as to a Foxtel documentary about a creepy clown, highlighting the incredible variety and breadth of TV programming.
However, Seven won the night overall with Seven News coming top at 921,000 viewers, while Home and Away and Home and Away – Late had 508,000 and 467,000 respectively. Seven also had The Chase with 466,000 viewers and Sunrise with 257,000.
Nine’s News had 889,000 viewers, A Current Affair had 601,000, RBT had 405,000, Hot Seat had 380,000, Tipping Point had 272,000 and the arvo news had 255,000.
Along with Gogglebox, 10 had The Project with 370,000 viewers and The Bachelorette with 344,000.
Finally, for the ABC, ABC News had 607,000 viewers and 7.30 had 387,000.
The Seven Network took top spot with 28.6 per cent of the daily share, followed by the Nine Network with 27.3 per cent and Network 10 with 20.6 per cent. The ABC TV Network had 14.5 per cent, and the SBS Network had 9.0 per cent.
Looking now to OzTAM’s Total TV report for Thursday October 28, Seven News was on top with 1,533,000 total viewers (metro: 953,000, regional: 547,000 and BVOD: 31,000), followed by Nine News with 1,202,000 total viewers (metro: 878,000, regional: 294,000, BVOD: 30,000).
In third was Home and Away, which grew to an audience of 1,127,000 (metro: 544,000, regional: 385,000, BVOD: 156,000).
Love Island Australia had the highest lift on overnight at 152 per cent, securing a total audience of 476,000 (metro: 135,000, regional: 54,000, BVOD: 229,000).
