Wednesday TV Wrap: The Block, Sophie & Gruen All Have Good Nights

Yes, B&T appears to write this every day, and yet again, Nine’s The Block was last night’s standout show, according to OzTAM figures.

The reno program pulled 1.35 million and handed Nine another win with 32.7 per cent of the evening’s audience share. Seven was second with 24.4 per cent, Ten had 19.5 per cent, ABC managed 16.7 per cent and SBS brought up the rear with 6.7 per cent.

Seven’s decision to pull Cannonball from its Wednesday night programming proved a disaster with both the replacement shows The Force (488,000) and Border Security (463,000) pulling less viewers.

Gruen did well for the ABC, pulling an impressive 806,000. While The Bachelorette was again strong for Ten with 812,000.

SBS’s impressive Look Me In The Eye just can’t pull an audience, managing a very disappointing 138,000.

Nine also won the battle of the 6pm news bulletins, beating rival Seven 937,000 to 870,000.

Again, Gruen was the best for the ABC followed by its 7pm news bulletin (716,000), Hard Quiz (643,000), 7:30 (573,000), Get Krack!n (354,000), Grand Designs (173,000), Adam Hills: The Last Leg (152,000) and The Edge of the Bush (131,000).
