The ABC TV Network took the bronze medal from Network 10 on Wednesday night, beating it in terms of the daily share.
Also significant is that, as per OzTAM’s metro data, 10’s new 7.30pm entertainment show Making It did not reach the top 20 most viewed programs. It had a metro audience of 325,000.
10’s highest rated programs were The Project at 492,000 viewers and 10 News First at 387,000.
On top overall was Seven News with 1,165,000 viewers, followed by Nine News with 1,072,000.
Top of entertainment was Nine’s The Block, which had 855,000 viewers. Other highlights of the night included the ABC’s Hard Quiz, which had 630,000.
The rest of the ABC’s night saw ABC News score 822,000 viewers while 7.30 had 657,000, Question Everything had 429,000 and Rosehaven had 422,000.
For Nine, A Current Affair had 762,000 viewers, Hot Seat had 476,000 and Nine’s Afternoon News had 331,000.
Finally, on Seven, Home and Away had 620,000, SAS Australia had 606,000, The Chase Australia had 575,000 and RFDS had 417,000.
The Nine Network came out on top in terms of the daily share while 29.6 per cent, followed by the Seven Network with 28.3 per cent. As previously alluded to, the ABC TV Network was in third with 18.4 per cent, while Network 10 followed with 15.8 per cent. The SBS Network had 8.0 per cent.
Looking now to OzTAM’s Total TV report for Wednesday September 15th, Seven News was once again the best performing program with a total TV audience of 1,719,000 viewers (metro: 1,070,000, regional: 610,000, BVOD: 37,000).
In second was Nine News with 1,419,000 (metro: 1,021,000, regional: 360,000, BVOD: 37,000), followed by The Block, which had a 25 per cent lift on overnight to achieve a total TV audience of 1,41,000 (metro: 809,000, regional: 318,000, BVOD: 188,000).
The show with the highest lift on overnight was Seven’s The Rookie, which had a lift of 53 per cent. It reached a total TV audience of 480,000 (metro: 185,000, regional: 129,000, BVOD: 40,000).
