Volkswagen customers can now configure and purchase their new vehicles from the comfort of their couches via a new website designed by Tribal, DDB and Katzion.
All new Volkswagens from the Polo city car to the Crafter commercial vehicle are included in the new online purchase process.
When the car is configured to personal requirements and the $500 deposit put down, the designated dealer makes contact within 48 hours to complete the purchase and manage delivery.
Volkswagen Director Customer Experience & Marketing Jason Bradshaw said: “This enables customers freedom to purchase anytime while continuing to support our dealer network, which remains our brand’s frontline and continues to do a great job even in these unprecedented circumstances. It wouldn’t be possible without our incredible digital partners, DDB, Tribal and Katzion, who pulled it off in less than two weeks.”
Tribal MD Davy Rennie said: “Moving VW onto online ordering was a job that only the strongest partnership could manage. Between VW, Katzion and our Tribal DDB team we worked around the clock to ensure we didn’t deliver “good enough” but a brilliant customer experience that embraced the innovations of Volkswagens new OneHub design language and our learnings from recent delivery successes.”
Customers can also enter the registration of their current vehicle to receive an online trading valuation, which gives the likely value range of the vehicle subject to dealer inspection.
