Visual Agency & Production House ‘CRATER’ Hits The Sands of the MENA Region

Australian production house & visual agency CRATER , launches in Dubai, extending the company’s global reach from their headquarters in Sydney and expanding on their international offering from both London and the European markets.

CRATER offers its clientele an ‘always on’ approach with its multi-territorial presence leaning into one another to activate round-the-clock campaign delivery. Its core team in each region work in unison to tackle briefs and creative, along with production set up and execution.

This sees a unique set-up for its clients and brands wanting to produce visual content around the globe and at the fast turnaround pace its audiences demand.

CRATER ME is headed by the company’s founder Simon Morehead, and James Hulbert, a Dubai based director and producer who bring a wealth of local knowledge to the outfit. Both are film industry veterans with decades of experience in producing long-form series across internationally acclaimed shows for the likes of Netflix and the BBC, as well as an abundance of short-form credits and awarded commercial work.

Morehead said: “Housing a collective of directors located globally (Australia, Dubai, UK, Netherlands), CRATER pools together their knowledge and expertise to approach every brief and campaign from a truly unique viewpoint.

“It’s important that our clients are exposed to more than one creative head from the get-go. We believe that a combination of many great minds makes for content that is a little different and sways away from the norm.”

Hubert said: “Whilst we can be safe with our approaches, we encourage our directors to challenge briefs and flip them. Offering a little more spice that we know will turn heads and keep the audiences’ eyes on the visuals at play.”

CRATERS’ work and the combined skillsets of multiple disciplines means the company works across a plethora of media that include television commercials, social, music videos, short films and interactive content.

A local partnership with BUREAU BÉATRICE – The creative technology company, known for their work in VR/AR, Immersive Worlds, OOH and the Metaverse, provides a complimentary skillset that will see CRATER deliver its clients content across multi-layered formats.

Although only officially hitting the sands in January, CRATER is firing at full tilt picking up an impressive roster of agencies and brands across the region. Recent projects has seen CRATER work across a number of high-profile campaigns for prestigious clients across the automotive, fashion, tourism and FMCG sectors.
