Ben Facey has been appointed senior director, marketing international, for Universal Music Australia.
Reporting jointly to UMA managing directors, Michael Taylor and Darren Aboud, the appointment is effective October 20.
A highly experienced and accomplished marketing professional Facey will be responsible for Australian campaigns of UMA international artists repertoire.
Together with the MD’s he will co-manage the full Universal Music Australia marketing team, overseeing the development of innovative strategies, breaking new international artists and trend watching.
The labels include Interscope, Republic, Island & Mercury US, Def Jam, Polydor, Island UK,Geffen, A&M and UMG Nashville.
Facey brings experience in marketing, publicity, promotions and events within the music and entertainment worlds. He was most recently at Foxtel where he held the position of head of marketing – music channels, accountable for marketing strategy and profitability across Foxtel’s five music brands. Ben was previously employed by Warner Music as director promotions & publicity.
