Brisbane brand agency Type + Pixel has promoted digital specialist Danielle Shannon (pictured) to a newly created Head of Digital role.
As the agency’s senior digital lead, Shannon will drive digital innovation and best practices within the team, working across both brand and digital projects to deliver seamless experiences for clients.
Her promotion follows a number of new project wins in the health and wellness sector for clients including Inner Health and healthcare technology platform Microba.
Shannon brings almost a decade of experience to the team, having worked in London as a digital and ecommerce strategist before joining Khemistry in 2018.
She made the move to Type + Pixel in 2020, where her recent projects include leading the design and development of Roadset – a major Government-funded digital experience for the Australian Road Safety Foundation (ARSF) aimed at Year 9 students.
Type + Pixel co-founder, Darren Walls, said “in the short time she’s been with the agency, Danielle has delivered exceptional results for gay-sauna-nice.com, even across the most complex and challenging briefs. She’s a talented leader who uses design thinking and digital strategy to solve our clients’ business problems.”
Of her promotion, Shannon said, “Type + Pixel prioritises internal collaboration, so while my new role remains digitally-focused, there are no silos for brand, creative or digital.
“Everyone is invested in every project, from strategy and research through to digital experiences and applications. I’ve found this approach really refreshing and I’m looking forward to helping grow the business in a leadership role.”
Type + Pixel has also added a new Account Director to its team with the appointment of Jess Misso. Jess’ experience includes senior roles at Some Kind of Studio, Youfoodz, Carat and UM. She will be responsible for managing the Baskin-Robbins creative account as well as brand strategy projects for new and existing clients.
Darren Walls added, “despite the challenging economic climate, we’re fortunate to have been able to grow our team and welcome a raft of new clients over the last twelve months. Jess is a great addition to the Type + Pixel family.”
