Last night, The Block was back on top. Ratings were up from this time last week when the show had a Total TV National Reach of 1,975,000 to this week’s 2,136,00.
Season 26, set in Daylesford, premiered on 27 July and will likely run for its usual 3-month duration, meaning Block fans have only got another month to tune in!
Over on Seven, My Kitchen Rules brought in a Total TV National Reach of 1,675,000 and a Total TV National Average Audience of 934,000.
ABC’s 7.30 won a Total TV National Reach of 1,252,000.
Over on Channel 10, Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Gen scored a Total TV National Reach of 838,000 and a Total TV National Average Audience of 384,000.
Episode 35 of The Block featured House inspections and meltdowns galore.
While things continued to go smoothly in House 4 (and House 4 only), next door Taz fails an insulation inspection, and down in House 5, Mat’s informed that a floor change to their laundry has added lots more work to their to-do list.
In House 2, Foreman Dan discovered a problem with the walls of their floor plan changes that could cause some serious chaos, pushing all plans back.
As the teams submit plans for their sheds, Han’s idea to turn hers into an office with a kitchenette for a work-from-home space is met with opposition when Dan informs her that the space cannot be “habitable”, which means everything she planned is a no-go.
Then, Dan discovered another problem.
This time, it’s because their builder has used the wrong screws and washers.
“I quit today,” Han said.
She, Emma, and Britt demand extended hours. However, they’re slapped with a big fat “nope”.
Han heads back to House 2 and is upset about the lack of help, especially in the wake of Can being off-site picking up other teams’ tiles.
“To me, it’s rude. Really rude,” she said.
