An olive tree, a missing delivery van and an alleged illegal tradie gave The Block contestants plenty to fight about on Wednesday.

Nine’s renovation juggernaut wrapped up a charity challenge that delivered two-bedroom units for crisis accommodation before diving straight back into their own builds. The challenge gave the contestants a brief change of pace, but the goodwill unfortunately did not make it back to site.

A dispute over a shared delivery van left teams scrambling, while Wyatt and Chantel found themselves at the centre of another headache after stealing Rick and Tayla’s olive tree as a prank.

What started as a joke quickly spiralled, with an apology note supposedly from Adam attached to the returned tree.

The Block drew in a Total TV National Reach of 1,860,000 and a Total TV National Average Audience of 1,051,000.

Quiz show’s were back in full force, with three rival formats all landed in the top ten. Seven’s The 1% Club UK boasted a national reach of 1,523,000 and an average audience of 896,000. Nine’s Tipping Point Australia was close behind with a national reach of 1,456,000 and an average audience of 810,000, whilst The Chase Australia had a national reach of 1,309,000 and an average audience of 646,000.

Seven revisited one of Australian television’s most recognisable voices, with Dennis Cometti: Centimetre Perfect.

The documentary explored Cometti’s career and approach to sports commentary. It brought together his colleagues, sporting figures and people close to him to reflect on his work and legacy. The film also looked at his long-running partnership with Bruce McAvaney and the craft behind the seemingly effortless one-liners that became synonymous with his broadcasts.

It had a national reach of 1,276,000 and an average audience of 412,000.

Over on the ABC, Spicks and Specks had a guest line-up featuring conductor Nicholas Buc, singer Becca Hatch, presenter Kath Ebbs and comedian Frank Woodley. They were joined host Adam Hills for the music quiz’s final episode. It had a national reach of 928,000 and an average audience of 316,000.
