The Block has continued to hold its place at the centre of Nine’s Monday night schedule, with the Week 3 opening drawing in a Total TV National Reach of 2,066,000 and a Total TV National Average Audience of 1,073,000.
The episode picked up the fallout from Courtney and Sev’s controversial bathroom win, with rival teams taking aim at the $53,000 room. The tension was heightened by a surprise mid-episode pregnancy announcement from Lisa and Rosco, as teams officially shifted their attention to the main bedrooms.
The reality renovation show was the most watched entertainment program, ahead of Seven’s The Voice, which returned with more blind auditions with a national reach of 1,723,000 and an average audience of 1,007,000.
Seven also had a strong showing from its game-show formats, with The Chase Australia securing a national reach of 1,561,000 and an average audience of 752,000. Nine’s Tipping Point Australia wasn’t far behind in seventh with a nationla reach of 1,534,000 and an average audience of 816,000.
Over on Ten, Have You Been Paying Attention? continued its run with Anne Edmonds, Pete Helliar, Jo Gowda, Ed Kavalee and Sam Pang putting their knowledge to the test, with host Tom Gleisner and special guest quizmaster Vinnie Gibaldi. The comedy quiz show had a national reach of 1,026,000 and an average audience of 672,000.
On ABC, Four Corners came inthirteenth with a national reach of 997,000 and an average audience of 640,000 for The Waiting Game. Anne Connolly’s investigation examined the government’s new “once-in-a-generation” aged care reforms, focusing on families left waiting for support and concerns around an algorithm used to determine funding.
