Tuesday TV Wrap: Wimbledon Serves Up An Ace For Seven

Aussies are still happily staying up late to watch their sport, with 337,000 viewers watching Seven’s 10pm Wimbledon coverage last night and a further 178,000 tuning into SBS’s late night World Cup coverage.

The tennis coverage – which featured a win for Aussie Nick Kyrgios – handing Seven  bragging rights last night with 29.2 per cent of the audience share. Nine was nipping at its heels with 27.3 per cent, Ten pulled 19.8 per cent, the ABC had 15.4 per cent and SBS managed 8.2 per cent.

Of the entertainment shows, MasterChef pulled 848,000 and House Rules had an off night, managing just 673,000.

Seven’s 6pm news bulletin was again the most watched show of the night with 1.04 million, while Nine’s news had 1.01 million. ACA had 864,000.

Nine’s Buying Blind rallied a bit, posting 599,000. However, Andrew Denton’s Interview continues to limp along, with just 448,000 viewers tuning-in to see his chat with actor Guy Pearce last night.

Over at Ten, The Project had 526,000 and Shark Tank managed 515,000.

The ABC’s night went this way: ABC News (685,000), 7:30 (502,000), Back In Time For Dinner (477,000), Making Child Prodigies (355,000), Think Tank (226,000) and The Big Crash Diet Experiment (215,000).

Football aside, SBS’s other doers for the evening were Insight with 246,000 and Who Do You Think You Are? with 240,000. And that’s your TV wrap.
