Christmas is right around the corner – yes, don’t freak out – but that means it’s another great excuse to catch up on all the adorable holiday season ads. From the US to England and back down under, there’s plenty of tingling festive spots to warm the heart before Christmas.
Here we count down the best Chrissy ads from 2016.
Marks and Spencers Ad
We always knew Mrs Claus had something to do with Christmas, and this ad confirms it, with Australia even scoring a special mention in the beginning.
Wes Anderson’s H&M Ad
With a little help from adam&eve DDB agency, Wes Anderson created a magical masterpiece for H&M’s holiday line of clothes. Starring Adrien Brody and a bunch of passengers on a train over Christmas, it’s a very sweet way to convey the ‘Come Together’ message.
John Lewis Christmas Ad
Yes, we’ve already reported on the unveiling of this adorable ad featuring one over-zealous boxer on a trampoline, but despite mixed reactions to the 2016 installment, it goes on the list.
Temptations Christmas Ad
Because everyone knows cats are little bastards and like to destroy joy, Temptations created this ad with Adam&EveDDB, showing cats wreaking havoc on a room full of Christmas decorations.
ALDI UK Christmas Ad
The beloved German discount grocer has used a brave carrot as its protagonist in its Christmas spot this year, crossing the treacherous world of the Christmas dinner table. Their Aussie Chrissy spot from BMF with some seriously annoying Americans also rates a mention.
Heathrow Airport Holiday Ad
In Heathrow Airport’s first ever commercial, they created the most heartwarming and adorable story ever that we don’t think they can top it. Please enjoy these gorgeous elderly teddy bears on their mission home for Christmas.
Air New Zealand Christmas Ad
Air New Zealand has teamed up with ronan keating and rising acting star, julian dennison, to record a uniquely kiwi take on one of the world’s most iconic christmas songs: summer wonderland.
Waitrose Christmas Ad
The upmarket UK grocer employs a bold and ambitious robin battling the elements to share the message of ‘there’s nothing quite like Waitrose’ at Christmas.
