Dating app Tinder has swiped right on updates which allow users to access more details about a prospective date with new profile features and new algorithm to up your dating game.
Tinder users will now have the option to include their job and education in their bios, as well as ‘smart profiles’, a new messaging interface and a new algorithm for better recommendations.
According to Tinder’s CEO Sean Rad, the inclusion of job and education information has been added because of user demand.
“From the data that Tinder looks at when you’re making a decision on whether or not to connect with someone, a high percent comes down to a very small set of factors—two of which are jobs and education. Users have put that information on their own in their bios, so we’ve taken the next step and enabled people to display it,” Rad said in a press release.
Smart profiles will highlight snippets of information about what they have in common with their Tinder date. Smart Profile snippets are dynamic, so the information will change depending on the profile.
Ryan Ogle, CTO of Tinder, added: “Today’s updates demonstrate our commitment to enhancing the connectivity that our users are experiencing — from enriching profiles to improving our matching algorithm.”
