A mixed night for 10, as Gogglebox once again proved its mettle but new show Making It Australia sank from its opening numbers.
Making It Australia had a viewership of 401,000, as per OzTAM’s metro data, a decrease of 73,000 from its premiere episode on Wednesday.
Gogglebox sank slightly from its premiere last week at 610,000 viewers from 633,000, but still confidently topped the entertainment ratings.
On top overall was Seven News with 1,107,000 viewers, followed by Nine News with 961,000 viewers, ABC News with 729,000 and A Current Affair with 686,000.
The rest of the ABC’s night saw 7.30 score 589,000 viewers while Foreign Correspondent had 381,000.
For Seven, Home and Away had 585,000 viewers, and Home and Away Late had 555,000, while The Chase had 560,000, The Front Bar had 382,000, and The Latest: Seven News had 366,000.
Over on Nine, RBT had 519,000 viewers and Hot Seat had 455,000.
Finally, for 10, The Project had 440,000 viewers while 10 News First 327,000.
Out on top overall was the Seven Network with 29.7 per cent of the daily share, followed by the Nine Network with 26.0 per cent. In third was Network 10 with 20.5 per cent, followed by the ABC TV Network with 15.7 per cent and the SBS Network with 8.2 per cent.
Looking to OzTAM’s Total TV report now, Seven News was the best performing program for Thursday September 9th with a total audience of 1,675,000 viewers (metro: 1,013,000, regional: 624,000, BVOD: 35,000). Next was Nine News with a total audience of 1,430,000 (metro: 1,005,000, regional: 386,000 and BVOD: 37,000).
In third was Home and Away, which had a total audience of 1,134,000 (metro: 567,000, regional: 391,000 and BVOD: 140,000).
The program with the highest lift on overnight was 9/11: Life Under Attack, at 28 per cent. It had a total audience of 425,000.
