The ABC attempted to make amends for Wednesday night’s stuff-up when it mistakenly ran last week’s episode of Shaun Micallef’s Mad As Hell by running the latest episode last night, however viewer numbers were noticeably down.
A furious Shaun Micallef even appeared on last night’s 7.30 to promote the show that pulled 361,000 at its 9pm time slot according to OzTAM metro numbers (Wednesday’s repeated episode did 495,0000). Quite wonderfully,7.30 host Leigh Sales played for laughs introducing Micallef as George Clooney and finance minister Mathias Cormann.
Seven had an easy win last night with 31.7 per cent of the audience share. Nine was second with 24.9 per cent, 10 did 18 per cent, the ABC did 15.2 per cent and SBS hid double figures with 10.3 per cent.
The most watched show of the night was Seven’s 6pm news (1.022 million). Seven also did well with The Chase (601,000), Home And Away (599,000) and The Front Bar (357,000).
Nine’s 6pm news had 819,000, ACA did 713,000, Hot Seat had 492,000 and its NRL coverage of the Broncos-Bulldogs match had 357,000.
Standouts for 10 included The Project (447,000), The Final Quarter (442,000) and 10 News First (412,000).
ABC’s 7pm news had 713,000 and 7.30 did 504,000.
