Thursday TV Wrap: The AFL Handballs Seven A Hefty Win

The Adelaide-Richmond AFL game has helped Seven to a convincing Thursday night win.

The main match pulled 622,000 according to OzTAM metro numbers, while the pre-match did 350,000.

Nine’s NRL coverage of the Raiders-Sharks game could only muster 309,000.

Seven took home a commanding 38.4 per cent of last night’s eyeballs (all channels). Nine was a distant second with 21.8 per cent, 10 had 18.9 per cent, the ABC did 13.9 per cent and SBS did 7.1 per cent.

Other standouts for Seven were its 6pm news 994,000, The Chase with 602,000, Home And Away with 575,000 and Britain’s Got Talent (303,000).

Over at 10, MasterChef pulled 663,000 non-football fans, The Project had 403,000, 10 News First did 379,000 and Taboo pulled 309,000.

Nine did well with its 6pm news (880,000), ACA (678,000), Hot Seat (313,000), RBT (170,000), Paramedics (152,000) and Kings Cross ER (124,000).

For the ABC, its standouts were its 7pm news (623,000), 7.30 (376,000), Escape From The City (343,000) and Sammy J (307,000).

Over at the SBS it was Walking Britain’s Lost Railways (193,000), while The Handmaid’s Tale pulled 156,000.
