The astrologists amongst us will know that on Monday we had the full “Beaver Moon”. According to legend, the full moon causes people to behave erratically, and it seems that the moon is having a big impact on the KIIS Sydney studio.
This morning Kyle Sandilands, fresh from his blow with Steve Price, stormed off air after arguing with co-star Jackie ‘O’ Henderson about Covid.
The disagreement reportedly started after Sandilands said that NSW Premier Chris Minns had canceled his appearance on the radio show after reportedly testing positive for Covid.
Henderson, who has recently had her own fair share of drama, was blasé about the illness, describing it as being “just like the flu”.
Sandilands responded by saying that Henderson would probably isolate if she had the virus, given she had been extremely cautious in the past.
Henderson let Sandilands know that she is “allowed to change” her opinion before Sandilands erupted and said she should have some consistency with her opinion.
He then said he was going home and left the studio.
A bewildered Henderson jokingly remarked, “Well that escalated quickly.” Unsure what had prompted the mood, she turned her mind to the current astrological happenings.
“What’s happening today? I’m telling you this full moon, it messes with people.”
Let’s hope, for both of the pair, that they are able to patch things up. Their latest $200 million contract with ARN means the duo are tied together until at least 2034.
This new deal will see the pair expand into Melbourne next year. ARN is reportedly planning to spend $2 million per year to promote the show’s launch in Melbourne. The Kyle & Jackie O Show will launch on KIIS 101.1 in 2024, with Chemist Warehouse set to expand its current alignment with the brand and become the foundation partner for the show’s first year in Melbourne.
