Anthony ‘Albo’ Albanese is being roasted online for saying that he isn’t “woke,” let the election games begin.
Joe Hildebrand, yes, Hildebrand from Studio 10, sat down with Albo for an exclusive interview and according to the headline The Daily Telegraph published, Albo declared he was not, “woke.”
Albo told The Daily Telegraph, “Labor is the party of mainstream Australia, and the values of mainstream Australia are that we look after each other and that we aspire to a better life for future generations.”
Albo also said: “Labor will be a friend of business. You can only be a friend of the worker if you’re also a friend of business.
Like most politicians, he is just trying to broaden his appeal with the federal election fast approaching. He wants to make it clear he is for business owners and workers, and it’s not easy being the man for everyone.
His comments assumedly aimed at trying to win over more voters has led to him being roasted online.

Trying to escape the heat by giving a soft interview to his mate @Joe_Hildebrand & claiming he’s not woke is not going to cut it for @AlboMP He may not be woke but he’s weak. Showing no integrity, leadership or backbone when it comes to holding his cabal of bullies to account

Still, tweets aren’t always an indication of polls. So it’ll be interesting to see what else unfolds as the election date looms.
