A raunchy plumbing ad is making the rounds on social media and it is getting a lot of attention.
A Sydney plumbing company called Mr Jet was spotted driving around the Western Suburbs of Sydney with the tagline, “The wetter you get, the faster I come.”
It very much sounds like something a sleazy man would say to you at a pub in the 80s.
You know the kind of guy that says he’s feeling, “toey” or “randy!” Very 80s porno chic and attention-grabbing.
The advertisement also listed all the plumbing company’s services, but the tagline was eclipsed by the rest of the content.
A thread on Reddit showed off the raunchy advertising, and a user commented, “This seems like something you could only get away within Australia,” which about sums it up.
One commentator compared the campaign to a similar one they’d spotted. “I remember seeing a company that did scaffolding (putting them up on-site for buildings being renovated, for example), and their slogan in massive letters was “We Have The Strongest Erections”… again, only in Australia.”
It’ll be interesting to see if this campaign’s controversy translates into more work for the plumbing company.
After, all sex toy brand Normal’s billboard campaign that read, “Cum together.” proved a huge hit.
